Training Focus Areas

Foundational Obedience
Puppies may be introduced to Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Place, Heel, name recognition, polite leash walking, and basic household manners.

Crate & Potty Training Foundations
We introduce puppies to comfortable crate routines, scheduled bathroom breaks, and consistent household patterns to make the transition into their new homes easier.

Recall & Leash Skills
Because Shiba Inus are naturally independent and can have a strong prey drive, we place particular emphasis on recall foundations, leash manners, handler engagement, and impulse control.

Early Socialization
Puppies receive positive, age-appropriate exposure to adults, children, other suitable dogs, household noises, different surfaces, new environments, grooming, and everyday activities.

Confidence & Adaptability
Structured enrichment and controlled new experiences help puppies develop confidence while learning to remain calm and responsive in unfamiliar situations.

Handling & Grooming Tolerance
Early introduction to brushing, paw handling, nail-care routines, ear checks, and gentle examination helps prepare puppies for regular grooming and veterinary care.

More advanced programs may introduce skills such as Place, Heel, extended Stay, stronger recall, calm settling, doorway manners, car travel, and structured enrichment exercises.
