Puppy Delivery & Pickup Policy

At Mishmo Shiba Inu, the safety, comfort, and well-being of every puppy are our highest priorities. Whether you choose local pickup or professional puppy transport, we take careful steps to ensure your Shiba Inu puppy travels as safely, comfortably, and stress-free as possible.

1. Puppy Readiness

  • Puppies must be at least 8 weeks old before leaving for their new homes, or older where required by applicable law or transport regulations.

  • Each puppy receives age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, and a veterinary health examination before departure.

  • A veterinary health certificate will accompany the puppy when required for travel or by applicable law.

  • Buyers are encouraged to arrange appropriate pet health insurance before their puppy travels or arrives home.

2. Delivery & Pickup Options

We offer several safe and convenient ways to receive your Mishmo Shiba Inu puppy:

  • Local Pickup – Available by appointment

  • Ground Transportation – Professional pet transport where available

  • Air Travel – Arranged in accordance with airline pet-travel policies and applicable regulations

  • Flight Nanny Service – A professional companion personally escorts the puppy in-cabin when this option is available

Whenever possible, we recommend the least stressful travel option based on the puppy’s age, destination, weather conditions, and journey length.

3. Travel Crates

For puppies traveling by approved transport:

  • Crates are appropriately sized and secure

  • Puppies have enough space to stand, turn around, and lie down comfortably

  • Proper ventilation and absorbent bedding are provided

  • Water arrangements are made according to the transport method and duration

  • Airline-approved crates are used where required

Crate costs may be included in certain transport packages or quoted separately.

4. Shipping & Delivery Costs

Transport costs vary depending on:

  • Distance

  • Destination

  • Ground or air transport

  • Flight nanny availability

  • Health certificate requirements

  • Travel crate

  • Insurance or other third-party charges

All applicable delivery or transport fees will be discussed and confirmed before travel arrangements are finalized.

5. Buyer Responsibilities

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • Buyers are responsible for applicable transport and delivery costs

  • Buyers must provide accurate contact and destination information

  • Buyers must be available to receive the puppy at the agreed location and time

  • Buyers are responsible for reviewing any airline, state, provincial, or local requirements that may apply at the destination

  • Any required pet insurance should be active before travel if specified in the purchase agreement

Mishmo Shiba Inu cannot guarantee schedules affected by airline changes, weather, road conditions, carrier delays, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

6. Safety & Well-Being

The puppy’s welfare always comes first.

We reserve the right to delay, reschedule, or change the method of transportation if weather, health, temperature, airline restrictions, or other conditions could place the puppy at unnecessary risk.

If a puppy shows signs of illness before departure, travel will be postponed until the puppy has been evaluated and cleared by a veterinarian.

7. Updates & Communication

We keep families informed throughout the delivery process and may provide:

  • Travel itinerary or transport details

  • Estimated departure and arrival times

  • Driver or flight nanny contact information

  • Tracking information where available

  • Updates during the journey

  • Confirmation once your puppy has been safely delivered
